Thermal Conductivity Of Liquid Metal Gallium Indium Tin Alloy
May 19, 2022
Four liquid metal gallium indium tin alloys (Ga50In25Sn25), (Ga60In25Sn15), (Ga66In20.5Sn13.5), (Ga75In10Sn15) were prepared by the water bath heating method combined with ultrasonic stirring and vacuum degassing technology.
The chemical composition and density of gallium indium tin alloy were tested by inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer and solid-liquid dual-purpose density tester, respectively. The melting point, freezing point, specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of gallium indium tin alloy were characterized by differential scanning calorimeter. The results show that the densities of the four gallium indium tin alloys are 5.4~6.1 g/cm^(3), the melting points are 11.0~19.8℃, the freezing points are -30.1~1.2℃, and the specific heat capacities at 25℃ are 400~450 J/(kg· K); the specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of the eutectic gallium indium tin alloy (Ga66In20.5Sn13.5) are better than those of metal Cu, indicating that its heat dissipation is better than that of Cu.
