What is fusible alloy?

Fusible alloy is also called low melting point alloy which is composed of two or more elements in bismuth, tin, lead, cadmium and indium. The low melting point and low expansion rate from liquid to solid make this alloy widely used in mold making, casting, medical radiation protection block, gas cylinder valve, welding, tube bending, fixturing, machining parts for soft metal dies, anchoring parts, toggle dies and supporting castings and electronic & electrical control fields, etc.


Wochang provides customers with fusible alloy from 47℃ /50F to 280℃ / 536F .The standard single weight is 3kg /1kg / 500g /25g for option.


174F 79C alloy is a bismuth-based eutectic fusible alloy made of three low-melting metals such as bismuth, tin and indium. It has a low melting point, easy to recycle and can be reused many times.

Mainly used for as low melting point solder; thermal fuses in electrical appliances, steam, fire protection, fire alarm and other devices; thermal elements; fusible links; fusible plug; bending tube filler and used for casting molds, producing molds for special products, casting special products, etc.

And it is eco-friendly material without lead and cadmium, so it is a good choice to instead of Wood's metal.
